Toilet float valve

hi all
bought a float valve from screwfix fitted it but noticed there was no plastic bit that supports it to the side of the cistern.
if i can get hold of the part can i fit it insitu easily or is there anything else i could use in its place?

Get a long set screw (4 or 5mm thread) with a nut and you can fit that and lock it in place.

i had to fit it or i had no toilet

take it off the part you took out , is That the part u bought from screwfix or the part you took out

I have contacted them and they are giving me another part hopefully with the missing piece in so I can sort it.

to be fair , screwfix are pretty good with returning stuff.
