Hiya the screen displays two hands with a cross & my TomTom fails to turn on.
When I connect to the Pc it say 'Do you want to format'
I've tried the reset button, which does nothing!
It's driving me nuts, any feedback when be greatly received

Have you got "tom tom home" on your pc? Did you hold the reset button for 30 seconds?

Yes Maff, tried the reset by pressing it for the recommend 20secs.
Then 30sec, then 1min & nothing happeneds.
I haven't got TomTom home so I will try that. It's just annoying that for some reason my Pc no longer recognises it & ask me to format. :beg:

Tomtom home should be able to restore the device, will give you a 1 time update as well.

I tried the TomTom home software & that does nothing, just asks me to format it.
I could format it and start again but where do I get the software for it?

Is it your computer or tom tom home asking you to format the device? If tomtom home recognises your device you should be able to go into "manage my device",backup your map, format, then home will re-install the firmware.
