Used to when I was a kid. Plenty of people still on them of all ages but I think Computers/Mobiles took over...
Had a loads at one point, started with a Midland portapak, Stalker 9 fdx, ranger 2950dx, Cobra 148 gtl dx and more, stopped at a Yaesu ft-840 with matching ATU. Used to get out all over the world on SSB on a Antron 99.

Have you got your licence? If not and you are interested they have scraped the particle test at the moment. You can take the test online. Essexham are are doing a free online 3 week course to get you ready for foundation level. I've just done it but had decided against taking the exam for now.
