trying to add a windows shared drive on the H2S (openatv)
go into menu > setup > system > network > mounts setup > mount manager > add new network mount point

autofs
enable
newnetowrkshare
NFS Share
192.168.1.50
no
rw,nolock,tcp

but there is nowhere for me to enter the user/pass required to access the shared drive.

am i missing something obvious?

instead of using the 'mount manager' use Network browser and browse to the device/network shares
its quicker and prompts for username and password - if you setup your shared folder permissions for username=everyone it shouldn't care what username or password is used

my share isn't set to everyone (and that's on purpose).
will that also let me save a system back up it if it isn't mounted first? as that's what my aim is.

Yes I know that, but I don't have them here.
My box is not wooshbuild if that makes any difference. It's a manual build using kiddacs guide.

Yours is set to cifs, not NFS.
Does that make a difference?

My box isn't Woosh, It's OpenATV but ViX is the same.
I don't know why you don't have the password option.

my box isn't woosh or vix either.
it's openatv.

the user/pass option only shows up when CIFS is chosen, but not when NFS is chosen.
