urgent help please with login failure on filezilla

hi all
cannot log into box using filezilla

keep getting this


Status: Insecure server, it does not support FTP over TLS.
Command: USER root
Response: 331 Please specify the password.
Command: PASS ********
Response: 530 Login incorrect.
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

can anybody advise
tried using plain ftp in settings but nothing ?
tried with just root for user and root then password but still will not connect

first box ip address ie 192.168.0.1 second box type root then quick connect if ip address 07 as the last number just put seven

Host should be the box's IP address. "root" for username and password. Leave the Port blank and hit "Quickconnect".

Which image are you using by the way? If I'ts someone else's backup, they may have changed the FTP login details.

Is FTP access allowed for root maybe you should be using SFTP

i would say reboot box and router to make sure box has a lan connection,recheck ip and try again.

True, reboot both. Or try DCC. Also disable your virus checker till finished as mines doesn't let me connect.

try accessing solo box if its on your home network through your pc network and not ftp proggy,thats what i do.
