Windows 10 USB issue

Having an issue in Windows 10 with USB ports. Mouse, keyboard and printer being picked up in all ports. When I plug in phone or external HDD etc nothing.

Read online to get serviwin and look at USBSTOR.

This is set to stopped and won't let me move to start?

Not sure if this is the issue. Anyone any ideas why USB ports wouldn't be picking up external storage devices?

check device manager. See if there are any devices with yellow triangle.

Download the latest usb drivers from your PC manufacturer.

OR .. Try uninstalling the usb drivers from device manager + delete from compuer. Restart , try updating via windows update
