Using a Hard Drive on Zgemma H9.2S?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but, can you run a 2.5 inch hard drive from the rear USB port on the Zgemma H9.2S for recording purposes?
All the info I have seen states to use a USB stick for recordings, but I have got a spare external drive of around 1TB which is not being used at present.
Not got the Zgemma as yet but don't want to mess it up when I do.
Failing that. would an SSD external drive work rather than a conventional drive as they consume very little power?

Using a USB HDD is fine, this is what a lot of people use.

SSD's don't actually use that much less power but they are silent and don't generate any heat.
Remember to initialise your drive and mount as /media/hdd

Thanks for that, already bought a 1Tb portable drive (WD) and all up and running :-)

this is what i use as it works,i gave up on 3 portables which failed to work.
