Using a VPN for bookies

A friend's gone working in the USA for 6 months and he enjoys a flutter on the football.

I recently bought NordVPN and let him use it but he can't get on any bookies sites they all come up with a location message.
He is using an iPhone and turned his GPS off but it still won't let him.

Is there anyway round it ?
Or
Am I his bookie till he comes back

He might need to contact NordVPN support for assistance. They might have specific advice or solutions for accessing betting sites

I read that Bet365 have a way of blocking it but if I use Nord here in UK Bet365 it blocks me as well.

William Hills doesn't block me in the UK using a UK Nord server

You could ask him to use a Static IP Location, if Nord has these, it may help.

I suspect betting companies don't want people places bets from other countries. Fraud and Money Laundering for starters.

Even turning geo off doesn't work

Don't use the app, use the browser for some reason it tends to work alot more than the app

Bookies have different rules and are covered by different regs so there is a legit reason most don’t allow vpns or make it difficult - as well as them being shysters! Obv accept your commission for placing his bets (nice pressie from his travels) and jobs a goodun. If he’s got us bank acc I think he can open a us acc with a us bookie (poss based in Stoke).

By now I think they have just started flagging all of Nord VPNs Servers IPs one by one.

You can't even get on to YouTube or Reddit without signing in due to the Public IP being flagged, with some VPN Providers. It getting ridiculous how privacy is being clamped down on.
