can anyone help?my openbox v8s will not connect to the internet until my mobile phone is connected to my wifi.WHY?:beg:my openbox is connected to my router via Ethernet cable.

why are you using wifi? These boxes are far better hard wired or used via homeplugs.

Also--check that you have set box to wifi and not 3g
Reaper.

No one has stated that you are stupid, good luck in your search for help

No one is accusing you of being stupid--your first post is misleading as you only mentioned wifi.
If connection is ethernet for box then you need to change settings in router to eliminate the connection being affected by the phone.
Have you done a full reboot of your system?
