hi i am after some advice for my daughters 2008 1.4 corsa. she was reversing out of a parking space when she hit the front wheel on a concret post. there are no marks on the wheel but the steering has gone mad. to turn right the steering is realy light and to turn left it is very heavy. she took the car to a vaxhall dealer he told her its the electronic steering sensor thats at fault and the cost will be around £900 to replace. so if anyone has any idears or can point me in the right direction i would be very greatfull

You might have to reset the torque sensor.

That will not work for the Corsa it is a different system. You will need to get onto some diagnostics and see what has been upset with the kerbing,it may be in live data you will see a mismatch of data or there may be some damage to the rack/valves itself. A good independent garage should be able to diagnose the fault easily enough.
