Hi Guys,

Think the time has come to go down the VPN route and welcome any advice.

I have read through the forum and googled many a page and think I am digging myself a bigger hole :(

My setup as it stands I run Apple Macs on a VM broadband and Netgear Orbi Wifi system, can anyone point me in the right direction for VPN advice for my MAG box thats currently connected by Ethernet.

Any help appreciated

Regards Speedy

I'm after the same advice. Need a vpn for mag box but think the way to go is to get a dedicated vpn router that can run dad wrt - question is, what is the best value router that can do this....

Nice one Krushy. Anyone else have experience of this router? Do you think it will slow down the speed much??

Yes, and yes if you have fibre. That router's CPU will limit openvpn download speed to around 10mbps max no matter how much faster your broadband is. Consequently whether that is acceptable to you depends on what your current download speed is, how many hd streams you wish to have concurrently, and whether you need to switch your isp's router into a modem (which is evidently one of the ways to get the superhub to play ball with vpn) and causing all your WiFi requirements to be handled also by the new router.

Cheers!
