VM - what do i need?

Hi All,

Seems like my provider has stopped his sly services. I am looking to set up a new box for a family member who is luckily enough to get VM in their area. Is it better to go down this route rather than IPTV?

They are midway through a broadband deal with sly so how can I check if they have an active VM line to their house?

Also what else do I need to get VM working for them?

I originally set up their zgemma star 2s box a few years back with an image so should be able to set up a new box for them if someone can provide some help.

Apparently vm must supply the basic four channels free so if you can get your hands on a receiver and connect it you should quickly find if they have TV. I assume they have broadband with vm. You may need a few cables and a splitter.

no they have broadband with sly. Do they need broadband with VM for this to all work?

Does anyone know of a cable box and iptv box combo? does one exist just to future proof myself.

Any Enigma 2 receiver (zgemma etc.) is capable of running IPTV - some better than others but it depends how much you want to spend.
