VPN firestick

Hi all, been having some problems viewing channels of late (only when there is footy on!!!!) running Smart IPTV on firestick. looks like its being blocked by those at sly....I've got gecko VPN installed on my firestick but don't seem to be able to circumvent...any clues or ideas as to where I could be going wrong???

Geko is a free vpn I wouldn't waste your time mate you would be better either signing upto a paid one like digibit £2.50 a month 6 devices or ip vanish hide my ass ghost vpn nord is supposed to be getting blocked or search around for a free one turbo vpn that's free works a s I used it before I got my router
 
I have a pre loaded fire stick. Using the app TVTAP pro to watch the footy on sky. However, when I try to watch a game it won't open, and a message says that EPG of this channel is not available. I'm a newbie non techie, so all advice would be much appreciated.
