Any offer and advice i use sky broadband and this last two weeks they have been running blocks on iptv, any advice on vpn routers would be appreciated.

It would be cheaper and easier to find a different provider, most of them have protection in place against ISP blocks

can you not use a vpn on your device?

As above depending on device or tv you can install a vpn directly onto your device so you can turn off and on as needed.
If running a mag box a vpn router would be required but as pablo has mentioned the amount you pay for a vpn router you could get a provider that hasn’t been blocked at all

Personally use Asus router with Merlin firmware for selective tunnelling.

You can just put the items you want through VPN and leave other stuff going directly through your ISP.
