Hey looked online followed steps but doesnt seem to work, do i need to change any details of mag 256 in order to work?
Trying to use my laptop as a vpn router?

Can anyone confirm it works?
If so anyone post steps how to do it thanks
 
Best buying a VPN router.

Not sure how you would run a mag through a laptop which is connected to a VPN.
That's new to me.

I have seen a guide here on techkings on how to setup what you want i'm pretty sure it was on this site but dont recall that you have to change settings on the mag just the pc or laptop I think

I posted this a few weeks back as I got it working through a laptop running windows 10.


Hi all
With all the issues with vpns and routers etc, i'd thought that i would test using my laptop as a vpn router.
This may become useful for some people.
My laptop allows me to connect to a vpn.
What i did was connect an ethernet cable from my laptop to my mag box.
I changed a few settings in the Network and Sharing Centre, adaptor settings.
Turned my vpn on and it worked.
This allows me to share the laptops internet connection with the mag box through a vpn.

I have only tested this with a mag. It might work with a smart tv.

Quick Google search solves most questions asked on this forum. Good guide mate might have a play myself when home from work.
