VU Duo - ITV1 HD channel

Hello all, i finally got my Vu+ Duo sorted and scanned all channels using latest Open ATV image. I have a problem retaining a lock on the ITV1 HD transponder and also ITV4. It starts at 73% but then frequently drops to 0%. I have tried both tuners but they are the same. All other channels are stable and will stay on 80%+ signal. Does anyone else have these issues?

Frequency: 11053.
Polarisation: Horizontal.
Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK.
Symbol Rate: 23000

Might need to do a blind scan then add them as favourites or into your bouquet list. I don't use atv so not familiar with correct options on there.

yes thats correct. ITV1 HD is the main channel but ITV4 also has the same symptoms (different transponder) I noticed on a Sky forum that other people also call out an issue with the signal so it must be an issue with the spot beam i think (Tyne Tees area).

mine are for all other channels, but for some reason this transponder hovers around 73%ish then drops to 0%

Better to say which transponders. There should be slight differences between them


11068, Vertical 23000 3/4 has following channels for me.
ITV Anglia East HD
ITV Border England HD
ITV Yorkshire East HD
ITV 4 HD
STV Scotland HD
UTV HD

11053, H, 2300, 3/4 has following channels for me
ITV2 HD
ITV1 Wales HD
ITV Granada HD
ITV Tyne Tees HD
ITV West Country SW HD
ITV Westcountry west HD

10891 Horizontal 22000 5/6 has following channels
CITV
ITV +1 Central West
ITV +1 London
ITV Border Scotland
ITV Granada
ITV Meirdian East
ITV1 Wales
ITV2 +1
ITV3
UTV


If you are getting variations in readings , it is a hardware issue. The two transponders you mentioned are both vertical polarisation. So may be an LNB issue . Check if you get the same issue on other vertical transponders. Make use of signal finder. If you could test your box at someone else's house, that could rule out the LNB issue.
