hi all

i used to be a kv freak but then moved to sat. looking through my graveyard of boxes i found some A700's am i to take that these are now bricks?

i now know of some kv hd's to hit the streets soon but i wanted to know what boxes are available on kv now. i thought there was a 750 but i have seen stuff about the hd. are these the boxes or are there more??? are they all cable or sat too?

The A750 with iconnector and later version A780 (with built in lan port) are SD boxes.
Both still work.

The Pheonix HD A850 is the new HD box.

It is not widely available yet although some members have them.

Cost approx £250.

Good HD sat box, and 2 yrs worth of subs probably costs just a few quid more.

So there is the question, do you think you can get more than
2 years out of your box with all your eggs in one basket ?

Or do you go sat with the option to have the ability move servers if the service is crap.

I am not knocking the new box it may be great when it is finally
released to everyone, but got less than 12 months out of my
A780 before I got fed up of the glitching and switched.

You pays your money, you takes your choice !
 
I think KV team should improve their boxes, it’s impossible to watch anything that is free from annoying glitches/freezing picture. I think the KV box requires more signal than the original cable box therefore you can’t have more one in the house.

I have three sat boxes (DM) share with one card and glitch free. Yes, I also have a new HD box but still have the same problem as the A780.
 
there are very few problems reported on the kv hd side,have you checked all cables are good,upto date firmware and when was the last time a factory reset was done and a new scan from main strong feed.

I got the impression things where stilll being set up for the new box
reading through various posts. That is why it is not on general sale yet.
 
How many people actually got the box, the answer is not many. This is why you don’t have much complain for these new boxes. May be it’s still in its early stage but it wont be glitch free like the Sat system.
There is nothing wrong with my cable and the incoming signal; I can have it check any time from a friend.

Yes it the new HD box, i had it when it first came out and is runing on the latest firmware.
 
if you still have glitching on your hd box are you sure you have scanned the correct net id,how did you get your net id to scan for,any neighbours have a vm box for info?
rumour says back in a week .
