What format does the Zgemma record in?

Apologies if this has been asked but what format does the sat box record in. Is it MPEG or something else?

is it me or are the files really liney? I mean you can see the rows of pixels when you play them on a computer or the likes? Fine on the box. But I take it, it is it trying to enlarge quality or something
