Cable What is the difference between all these different 'lines'

Can somebody please explain to me the difference between all these different 'lines'.

Firstly how do you know which one you need?

Secondly do you just get one?

Are some better than others?

All help would be appreciated :)

Also do you need these lines for both sat and cable?

Can somebody please explain to me the difference between all these different 'lines'.
Are used to open the $ channels on your receiver, N,C + CWS and are interchangeable but you will need to correct protocol.
CCCam generally uses C
MgCamd + Newcamd generally use N or CWS


Firstly how do you know which one you need?
Being generally interchangable chose the one that your box uses or you want it to use

Secondly do you just get one?
Only 1 is needed for Cable or Sat if you want both you will need 2

Are some better than others?
Sure, you get what you pay for.

Also do you need these lines for both sat and cable?
If you want to clear $ channels then yes you need them on either or both services!

I'm going to have to use this but will be using it for cable rather than sat.. Any advice on what to use? I'm a complete noob.
