have not had iptv since it went down recently and haven't been paying attention, seen a lot of people saying beware as a lot of security risks lurking, can anyone expand on that???

how are the services you are using performing now, is it worth going back yet?
can anyone recommend a cheap vpn that is easy to use for a dummy who's never used one?
 
Not sure what you mean “security risks lurking” Most of the decent providers are back up and running again. Some still have epg issues, some devices are not supported as of yet but as a whole it’s definitely a lot more stable than it was a few weeks ago.
