WiFi or Ethernet

Due to upcoming upgrade of broadband to fibre I have just upgraded my 2 Ethernet switches . With the cost of electric being so high I was wondering which was the cheaper option , to run the switches 24hrs a day 365 days a year or to put all my devices on WiFi . According to the psu of the switch , it supplies 6w so assuming the switch takes 4w , that’s approx 100w a day , so 1 kw every 10 days . At 28p/ kw that’s just over £10 a year to run . Must admit , I thought it would be dearer than that but I’ve typed all this now …. So anyone know if it’s cheaper to run devices on WiFi or wired ?

Is your wifi going to be on anyway for phones etc ?

If so and its fast enough turn the switches off.
