ciao, su h2h si installa facilmente mentre su h5 completa il flash ma poi rimane su boot senza che il ricevitore si avvii

Works fine for me:

1613659741821.png

There are separate putty codes for each box, they are not the same.

H3 (H2H, H2S etc)

Bash:
wget --no-check-certificate -O install_h3.sh http://www.willobuild.xyz/files/Scripts/install_h3.sh && bash install_h3.sh

H5 series

Bash:
wget --no-check-certificate -O install_h5.sh http://www.willobuild.xyz/files/Scripts/install_h5.sh && bash install_h5.sh

failing that, try the PSU from the H2H on the H5.

@Willo3092 just tried to use your backup script
Code:
wget --no-check-certificate -O willobuild-settings.sh http://www.willobuild.net/files/Scripts/willobuild-settings.sh && bash willobuild-settings.sh

getting error:

H5 series

Bash:
wget --no-check-certificate -O install_h5.sh http://www.willobuild.xyz/files/Scripts/install_h5.sh && bash install_h5.sh

I'm using my .xyz server now, not the .net one although that should still work in theory.

EDIT:

wget --no-check-certificate -O willobuild-settings.sh http://www.willobuild.net/files/Scripts/willobuild-settings.sh && bash willobuild-settings.sh

That's not even my flash script, that's one I used for just downloading the settings for a manual flash - not needed anymore since @grog68 sorted out the ViX script for me.

I got the script from your pdfs I downloaded , I thought it would just backup settings e.t.c

OPTION 3:

IF YOU’RE RUNNING AN IMAGE, OTHER THAN OPENVIX:

FIRST USE THIS SCRIPT TO DOWNLOAD WILLOBUILD SETTINGS AND BACKUP YOUR LINE:

I need to update my guides embarassed.png
There is a script built in that backs up all user files from the previous image to /media/hdd/#Backups# just in case the user hasn't backed up lines and timers etc.

I was thinking some things may be slightly different on VIX than openatv so script would have copied settings then I could restore If just doing normal VIX installation not a build.

@grog68 has a script for plain ViX installation but you have to back your own settings up from ATV and extract them manually.

Flash VIX via command line from the creators GrogBuild FreeRange - Leading the way to simplicity

There is a backup/restore plugin in my build to restore timers and lines etc that were backed up on installation.
Thanks @Willo3092 , I have tried both those scripts before just to install plain VIX and OpenATV they error on my zgemma H9 combo
error as posted in picture above cannot flash kernel, because no kernel file was found.
probabley due to partitions layout not sure, yet yours and grogs build will install but iv'e got to enter reboot in putty when script has finished

I haven't got a H9 to test but my SF8008 only reboots when I flash the partition I'm actually using.
You just need to reboot from the multiboot selector in the start menu.

no I don't flash first partition when trying script, I thought it would be safer just doing reboot in putty. did not know you could access multiboot menu in sart menu because screen still displays flash screen but it has finished the flash do you just use exit button.

I'm not talking this is happening just now but last time I tried installing builds.

Which screen, Putty or the box? Putty usually says going for reboot now but doesn't unless you've actually flashed the partition you are usually using. No problem rebooting via Putty anyway.

perhaps thats what it is been a while iv'e probably booted into partition I have wanted to flash because I would not risk it on first partition. I will try tommorrow and let you know.
