Windows 8 Windows 8.1: KMode Exception (Blue Screen)

Hi TK Community,

For a while on the little brothers computer he's been getting blue screens then the PC restarts and after that it's fine, it's whenever he loads it up the first time it becomes an issue, he was on Windows 7 then. Now i formatted the PC and put him on Windows 8.0 or 8.1 think it is 8.1 anyway he keeps getting the blue screen again which is quite annoying. I'm wondering what is the best way to go in trying to pinpoint the problem? i suspect it may be that drivers for the hardware in his PC are not compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1 So i'm not too sure what is happening. Attached is the image of the error that comes back.

Now a friend recommended having a look at the following and said try installing the link at the bottom of the page and running the scan.

Will have a look at it. Apparently little bro said the messages on BSOD are different each time so asked him to take pics for reference.

Yes Windows 8.1 is installed on a older machine - Recent hardware change was a new HDD internal. I was working on the computer last night and updated the drivers and so far no BSOD error have occurred. So hopefully fingers crossed that's sorted. I was always running the risk that the computer would breakdown as its only really supported as far as Windows 7. Let's see what happens though.

The BSOD error above was due to some drivers not installed for PS2/Mouse etc & update of drivers has so far made a positive impact.

Lesson so far learnt dont push a old PC too far in regards to OS upgrades lol
