Wireless light switch

Yes you can, they come as a transmitter,which is the light switch and a receiver that you wire into your existing light fitting so no need to wire to the switch.
 
yes, as above, but, there are much cheaper and more versatile options available,
try searching home easy, I've used loads of their stuff and always reliable
 
I’ve got another query...I have a kitchen extractor fan wired to a spur socket that is hard to reach...is there a wireless switch I could install for that?

SONOFF do a switch that's perfect for that, can be used with a phone app or Alexa.. or you could buy the remote version with a key for thingy..
