What's new

Wooshbuild and motorised dish

Yes it is. OpenATV as standard allow your to configure your tuners for use with motorised setups or fixed LNBs. Depending on how you want it all setup depends on if you remove AB E2 and install ABM or leave as is. I personally leave AB E2 for my dual LNB 19.2 and 28.2 setup. AB E2 scans 28.2 as normal and then I do a automatic scan for 19.2 and create my bouquets manually.

As for setting it up with a motor.... hmmmmm, someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks wooshman. Normally I install a catseye Europe list using "dogsettings" and just set up some personal favourites on 28e. Do you think I can still do this or will it screw up the S*y listing that comes with the image ?
Also sorry but new to zgemma but what is AB E2 and ABM?

I don't know I am sorry, as stupid as it sounds I only know what I use until I try something new.

AB E2 - AutoBouquet E2 - WooshBuild v2 - v5 uses this to bring in the bouquets and is limited to 28.2 sat, It is the closest EPG setup to Sly due to the all channels and channel numbers

ABM - Auto Bouquet Maker - This will scan loads of sats as standard and create bouquets accordingly. There is no option for channel numbers on the EPG (unless running vix, or add dsayers mod) and even when you have channel numbers you cannot have "All Channels" like sly if you want the channel numbers to look right all the time. Removing the All channels bouquet fixes this.

I think is is a good a place to post as any. This is my area so need help.

I am in need of a motorised sat dish which is capable of most euro sats up to 28.2 so thinking a 80cm? Keeping the cost down, would someone be willing to have a look on ebay / amazon etc for an all in one unit.

Thanks

Hmmm unless you are in a good position house wise id say a diseqc with 3lnb is probably the best move with the option to add a 4th. Ive not looked into dual output lnb for watch/record if diseqc can handle it.

I have that setup here at home but this is for a customer who just wants a range. I was just after prices more than anything.

No probs wooshman. Im looking into building the same setup you may have with a eurosub. Could you give a brief on what your setup is please to give a newbie a head start?
