Wooshbuild V5.3 HDD always on

Well, I've searched back through the threads and although this question comes up no one seems to have an answer.
Hdd works fine but will not spool down in standby.
Not just the light on but can hear it spooling too.
Have tried the obvious settings re hdd standby minutes etc but no change.
For longer term use this must wear it out pretty quickly.
Using a Seagate 2tb but have tried an Iomega 320gb too and just the same problem.
Any help much appreciated

What are your hard disk settings in Hard Disk Setup?

I have tried a few. At the moment I have:
Standby at no standby
Standby in box standby at no standby,
and hardware standby timer at no.
Does it make a difference to have epg, swop file, etc on a seperate usb stick? I did see that suggested on one thread.

Just sorted my own problem!!
Ash87's question got me thinking and tho' I had changed the first two timer options to various amounts I hadn't tried using the hard disc hardware one (mainly 'cos I had no idea what that was!) so tried setting that to yes.
Oh joy!! It went off after the 30 seconds of standby as requested in the timer options.
Problet solved!
