I have just purchased one of these boxes to use with Virgin & Sky I have been trying it for a few days but started to have problems with my Virgin broadband where my bandwidth was reduced from 100mb to around 3mb. when I spoke to them they said they had seen a very large amount of data both Download and Upload over the last few days so they restricted it until i reduced the usage. is this a known problem with this box and the way I am trying to use it?

is this going to work???

if i can get this working i would also like to add a good skin for both Sky & Virgin any ideas?

Hi,
Do you have any other devices connected to your VM router be it wired or wireless? it may be another connected device causing the problem. Seems odd as i have the same box as you and don't see much data usage with it (I have the box on 24/7). it may also be worth your while to go into the settings on your router and change the name of the zgemma so it shows up as something else. use something generic like xbox or apple-tv. Hopefully other forum members may be able to help further.
 
If you want to change the name of your receiver ;
Menu- setup- system- network - mounts set up - mount manager - change host name
"Apple TV" green button to save

I just seems odd as the problem with the massive data usage has only happened since the Zgemma box was added to the network.

I do have a few bits connected to the network some wired some wifi and never had a problem before.

any more views would be welcome.

as for the skins is this possible?
 
Do this on the router.
Then phone VM and ask what is using all the data, they should be able to see all your connections and tell you. Just make sure you rename your zgemma receiver to something else, maybe a PlayStation 4 ;-)
 
Hi can anyone help I installed woosh 5 on a friends zgemma H2s box and I have the same problem with my sisters box I can't get 123 movies to work with IPTV when I open it and select all it says no files found I have updated the hosts and still the same any ideas also my son is having problems with his pause and rewind on his zgemma H2s if anyone knows how to fix this it would be great
