Zgemma H7C images

I just received an H7C today and I am wondering what the best basic image is ?
I have used ViX for about 3 years (VU solo then H2H), I like to keep it simple and manage my own plugins etc

I downloaded the OpenATV image from http://www.zgemma.tv/index.php?folder=WmdlbW1hLUg3Qw== but I am getting a 404 on downloading the cam manager plugin.

It looks like there is no image for OpenViX :(

Whats the best stable image that is similar to ViX ? I am trying Willo build right but (for me) its too bloated and "user friendly" if you get me.
I like no frills ViX

Any recommendations?

Cheers

I believe Grog has an image for this if you want to give it a try.

Oh yes, do you have any info ?
Or is he a member on here?

I'm trying OpenPLi now but there is a default password set so I can't ssh , the wiki says there is no password set for root , but there is

EDIT
Changed ssh to telnet and it worked, doh

I'll be doing a ViX build as soon as someone releases the basic flash file.
OpenATV is too bloated for me anyway. What do you suggest I remove?

Thanks, got this but it looks quite bloated too. Managed to find OpenATV 6.1 by changing the URL from the zgemma site

I will review ATV and let you know.
But, my personally I just want ViX bare bones with the standard ViX repo so I can install what I need rather than have to remove what I don't need.
So a "clone" the regular vanilla ViX is what I would like to see. Nothing else added.

I may be the wrong person to ask about what the user would like to see in "builds" as my answer is "nothing" ;)
I don't like builds, even the basic setup wizard can piss me off ;)

I don't understand why you just don't install the basic image from ATV then?
Builds are designed for noobs so they don't have to struggle with the basic setup and to install any plugins that are useful, but not included with the basic image.
The only plugins I add that can be considered bloatware are skins and IPTV Player.

The ATV 6.1 download page is here:

It's an arm box, you need the arm softcam manager ipk. Google for:

enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-11390-linuxsat_openatv_armv7ahf-vfp-neon

You can only use oscam on an arm box.

Ahh ok. I have oscam and panel 2.0
Just need to convert from CWS to oscam

So I am a n00b in the sense or "its an arm box" what does that mean ?

It has an Arm7 processor rather than the Mips one on older boxes.
Very much faster.

MIPS vs ARM
In the world of microprocessors, MIPS and ARM do a great service on behalf of their instruction set architectures. MIPS is implemented primarily in embedded systems. But, at present, ARM has become much more popular in the industry than MIPS.

Ah ok makes sense. I am struggling to get os setup as I dont have /etc/tuxbox/config
Not sure if I need to create is manually or what

It's running and looks to be be looking in user keys hmmm
root@D-PC2:~# ps -ef | grep oscam
root 5551 1 0 18:38 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/oscam_atv -b -r 2 -c /usr/keys/oscam_atv

Just copy and paste into the oscam.server using notepad++

These are my files:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/58uob2t1wzarwvz/Oscam.zip?dl=0

Much appreciated. Still no luck. Left the default files in the location and just replaced the modified .server file with my info
Do I need _emu or non emu oscam ?

Are these unique to the provider ?

caid = 1841
ident = 1841:000000,005B01,005A01,005B02,005B03

After my password in the N , mine has 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Just put your details where I have highlighted.
0102 etc is already in the key section:

CAID is for VM
I would copy all the config folder over, I know it works.

I missed the 14 off the end of the key FFS haha .. It's always something stupid

Thanks for the help! I need a break now.
New OS/image and new cam all in one go :-O

Well, before I go. I installed crossepg and it looks about 5 years old. The providers dont even update. Is that because its an ARM version ?
