Satellite Zgemma h7s stuck on boot

Hi peeps

I'm having serious issues with my zgemma h7s
I gave this to my father in law to use and all of a sudden he said it wwwnt working.

I took it back to my place and tried to flash it to latest openvix
Every time I try flash it gets stuck on boot.
It never gets passed it and I get no picture

I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Is this permanently broken?

And that was with the recovery file ?

Was the usb formatted fat32 first and no bigger than 8gb in size , Kingston , Cruzer , Integral have worked for me. NO OTHER USB DEVICES PLUGGED INTO BOX.

Unsure but do you not have to put on another image onto box .

It was an emmc recovery openvix file.
Tbh I don't care about the image now I just want to get it to boot up.
I'm using a Toshiba 4gb fat 32 USB stick. The USB stick isn't the problem because it reads flash so something is working.

Well I don't think there's another image. Before it broke it was on openvix 6. Something

I just want to start from scratch and get it to work but nothing is booting.
 
Because 1 slot image or other is faulty you will/might have to start.

You could add 3 images to other slots

What size was usb and any i use i see the usb flashing so i see something is working..

I would have thought box might have rebooted after flash was done but video timed out

Oh so basically it shows flash for around 2 mins.
Then it's done and tries to boot but again stuck on boot with no picture.

I don't even know how to remove or edit slot one. It's not letting me do anything just to get picture.

That's the strange thing
 
Reading elsewhere box should reboot so i dont think your usb worked and not said make or size and i know from past number of years usb matters.

Sorry the usb stick is a 4gb Toshiba fat 32.
So how do I get confirmation the flash completed.
The word flash appears so I thought you let go of the button when you see it and then it's doing it. No other usb plugged into the box
Is this not the case?
 
Did you reformat usb on laptop fat32.

Does the rear usb flash when flashing image/recorvery files and usb is inserted into rear slot.
Is there another button under the flash to press .
I like to see usb flashing as its talking to box.
Download a fresh recovery file and extract to usb

There is only one button on the zgemma h7 to press when you turn the power button on.
Its on the instructions so I'm doing exactly that
On my h9 twin there is a hold power on remote way to boot up the recovery mode thing but that's not the case with this one

OK can you please direct me to a recovery I can extract to the USB and I can try again.?
 
I would say it did not transfer as its still in the same state and no mention of seeing usb drive flashing or box rebooting

OK I'll try some different USB stick.
Is there like a backup zgemma recovery file that exists to go back to factory settings?

That just says sign into Google drive.
Upload the pictures to tinypic and post the link here
 
If you are purchasing a new receiver
You might consider a receiver with quad core processor

Yh but no space for internal hardrive. Also the one advantage of these zgemma receivers and some others is the ability to change remote input. I have spare xtrend and vu remotes which work on these.

Issue is zgemma receivers are not great quality.
I have a h7s doorstep now
