Zgemma H9.2S and HDMI-CEC with Samsung TV

Hi!
I am experiencing an odd behaviour with HDMI-CEC on my Zgemma H9.2S.
I would like the Zgemma box to go on standby when the TV goes on standby and to wake up when the TV wakes up. But what happens is: the Zgemma box goes on standby when the TV goes in standby, but it does not wakeup when the TV wakes up.
This is my HDMI-CEC configuration:

As you can see, I have enabled the debug log. Here it is:

The text in red is what happens when I put the TV in standby using the TV remote. This is as expected.
When I wake up the TV from the TV remote, nothing is recorded in the log.
And then... When I wake up the Zgemma box using its own remote, the Zgemma light briefly flashes white and then goes red again, and the text in blue happens. I have to press the on/off button on the Zgemma remote again to make it wake up properly, at which point the rest of the text is recorded in the log.
What I select in "Enable wakeup from TV" doesn't seem to make a difference - I've tried them all.

So... here are my questions:
  1. How can I make the Zgemma box wake up when the TV wakes up?
  2. If this is a defect, is it being worked on (as far as you know), and when will a fix be released?
  3. Why do I have to press the on/off button twice on the Zgemma remote to wake it up, and is there a way to prevent this? This is screwing up all my home automation scenes... :-)
Thank you very much! :-)

I see you have tv remote set to NO should that be YES?
Tried that, to no avail. But thanks for your help... :-) I don't want the Zgemma box to wake up because it intercepts the TV's IR on/off button: I want it to wake up because it reacts to the HDMI-CEC wakeup signal from the TV. Does it make sense?

Hi did you find you manage to find the solution ? i am also struggling with the same, sleeps but does not wake up when source is selected.

Do you not have to setup on tv to activate this setting.I dont use because i might want other tv functions to use and not the the box to come on.

to clear things up: I can control the zgemma reveiver with the sony remote, as long as I switched on the zgemma by using its original remote control (and switch to the appearing "playback_1"-HDMI port). Also, the receiver goes into standby when I shut off the TV (which is good).

I just can't get the receiver wakeup from standby with the Sony remote.

Thinking you might have to go through the cec settings on box to allow when powering off tv box does the same.

bigwig> I did exactly as you did (although I don't have the "enable command line function" functionality). I'm afraid, it doesn't work.

Actually, I believe "Use TV remote control: NO" couldn't make it work, I tried anyway without success. Of course I tried "yes" as well.

Thanks, anyway.

P.S.: irritating is also that playback_1 HDMI seems to appear completely random: sometimes it appears after 10 secs after booting, sometimes I have to reboot.

Have you tried replacing hdmi cable with another and tried using a different hdmi port? the above settings work with my sony tv and using a zgemma h9 twin.

Which HDMI port do you use? Also, what are your Bravia Sync settings?

Control question: you can control your zgemma with the Sony Remote Control? Even waking up the receiver?

i useHdmi port 1 or 2
I dont use my sony remote only zgemma.
i didnt sync port, just plugged it in and it connected.
had same problem on my dads tv that ur having, couldnt resolve it.

As above, try a different HDMI lead,
I have a cheapo lead that works fine for watching with, but doesn't work with my soundbar or anything using CEC.

I don't think it's the HDMI cable/lead since everything works besides "wakeup". However, I tried 5 different cables/leads, though - it didn't help.

Although I appreciate people wanting to give their contribution - and I thank you for that - it doesn't feel like anyone knows what they're talking about. The issue I - and others, apparently - am experiencing is very specific to the ZGemma H9.2S and to one specific HDMI-CEC setting, which doesn't seem to work. I have found references to this issue all over the internet, looks like a fix was promised at the beginning of 2019, but nobody knows anything about it.

So... let me ask the question again: does anyone know (not theorise or guess or imagine) how to fix the "Handle wakeup from TV" not waking up the ZGemma H9.2S? Again, please refrain from suggesting grandma remedies like "try with another HDMI cable".

Thank you!
