thank you all makes sense now lol
do you know if i can blind scan with openpli and zgemma as I want try one satellite at a time and not a group of them as I have just got new motor and dish working correctly

As above use something like Catseye multi Sat settings. All the working channels are in bouquets.
Or if you need to find a particular channel use something like kingofsat and search that 1 transponder.
There's only a dozen sats probably worth bothering with says me who's dish hasn't moved for years.
I was told there's fta porn, I don't believe that ! :)

FTA porn that will be the day lol

Tried tuning some of the Westerly Sats I get 0.5 west as well as 0.8 west and some free stuff on 30 west other ones like 12.5 west and 15 etc motor finds position but obviusly must me slightly out fot those fta channels but not being funny for sats i use most signal is stronger than ever so wont bother moving for the sake of a coupke of channels not worth it , dont you all agree ?

JUST AN UPDATE - !!!!

Hope your all keeping well and safe ?

Since October when everyone on this great forum helped me sort out my motorised set up with My Zgemma box well just wanted to update and wondered if anyone had any possible answers to NEW PROBLEM I HAVE LOL ??

THE OTHER DAY I was retuning some of the satellites as some channels i had been watching had changed Frequency so retuned 0.8 west also 13 eats 28.2 east and then i went to retune 16 east and for some strange reason It would not move away from 16 east with what ever I tried, so i got ladder out checked i was getting power to motor and dish which I was so tried remote control again nothing stuck on 16 east. So back up ladder moved dish and motor with buttons below motor itself manually went back in doors tried remote and all sats could move with remote then went to 16 east again and got stuck again, so repeated procedure i just mentioned and all okay.

SO DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING ONLY WHEN I MOVE DISH TO 16 EAST AND IS THERE ANYWAY OF FIXING THIS PROBLEM. I DONT WANT TO GET LADDER OUT EVERY DAY lol

Cheers Again for all your help

Think I remember @linesman66 mention zgemma getting stuck on installation he had recently done even though he had upgraded power supply not good news mixed reports I have zgemma h9 combo but still to setup motorised dish.

Ok. today I have just installed 1.1traix t.d
Series satellite dish with Tacnomate motor
Using zgemma h series Reciever I previously changed the power supply to 12 volt 5amp
Power supply In additional motor settings I
Changed my motor speed according to
The manual which came with my motor
I used invacon l.n.b which isn't low powered
Tunner A the internal tunner was selected
Simple Positioner USALS Longitude and latitude was added settings saved
When you then go to manual scan scroll
Down highlight the transponder Don't exit
Out of screen for about 30 seconds so the
Reciever recognises the transponder
Then go to signal finder highlight and select
The same transponder and your satellite dish motor should move .Repeat the process

I noticed within the internal memory of the
Reciever it keeps selecting the transponder
19.2 east When you Select manual scan
Highlight and select The transponder Stay in manual scan for a minuite so the Reciever recognises the transponder
Then go to signal finder select the transponder Then the satellite dish motor
Will.move

Make sure you do not have any software limits set in your box limiting the motor turning east/west.

Okay i recognise a lot of what you have listed above, besides change of power supply and Power Supply in additional Motor settings will look for my motor manual if it states anything different in there.
Have Usals as you list and listed correct Longtitude and Latitude.
When tuning a Satellite have never had to wait 30 secs always found sat but will try.
If need be will try for every satellite.

If you remember rightly I had to download satellite channel list from within My OpenPLi Image to get dish sorted. then I manually tune in other sat positions needed.
It doesnt move when i select 16 east or it does move to 16 east but then does not move again, I have to press button under motor for it to move to other saved sat positions

This is true it always shows 19.2 east when you select tuning menu and manual scan
will try what you say tomorrow if its not raining

Sorry been away for a long while, family reasons, I tried everything that you guys have mentioned but when I go to 16 east I still have no choice but to get ladder out use manual button on motor and then with with remote move back to 28.2 east.
So in other words I cant view 16 east without ending up with a motorised set up that then gets stuck on 16 east
Very Strange dont we think ???

if your latitude is a negative figure, it should be inserted as a positive figure but change the compass point to it's opposing direction..ie south to north. if you lock your dish to the correct elevation & declination & set your motor position to zero.......you can use your signal finder to lock on to thor sat 0.8 & then manually move your dish with tweaks until you achieve reception at it's strongest.....lock up the nuts & bolts, being careful not to deviate from the focus & then tune your receiver to scan 0.8. usals will then direct your motor to satellites across the arc.

I have done mine 3 times in moves over the past 10 years. Each time I used a TV in the window even though I had a signal finder.. I followed the instructions to a tee and plumb was bang on but I struggled to get a full arc. When I used the TV/window I manually faffed around till I hit the arc then super tightened it up. If your a sat guy it's pretty much 2nd nature but if your not ?, if can be a testicle acke

probably because you're elevation or declination was off by a small amount. the motor tracks the arc, but if the angle of your dish is out even by a few mm, then as the dish moves through the arc, 2mm b
oon becomes 10 & that is enough to completely lose a satellite, especially for those with a weaker signal that are not intendedfor uk reception, or those further down the clarke belt (arc).

I was told years ago to always try blindscan now and again on favourute sites as frequencies change quite alot for favourite FTA channels etc
if you update your config files, you won't need to blind scan. blind scans will take you forever & give you nothing extra. For me, i only bother with 28e, 23.5, 13e, 19,e 16.e 0.8.e & 30.w
