Looks simple enough bud, there's video guides on the liberty websiteCheers guys. I'll get myself one
Is it pretty straight forward in terms of setting up?
Just plug & play in to my existing talk talk router?

To connect a liberty shield to existing isp router tou need to
1 put the ethanet into lnb port 1 on liberty shield to work
2 plug the other end into any lnb port on isp router
3 connect power lead to liberty shield router
4 go to libertyshield website
5 create an account
6 enter the codes provided will sync to router
7 leave 10 minuites to run all updates
8 will auto be be set to uk(change on dash board online)
9 if changed server you need to unplug vpn router wait (5 sec) power back on
10 connect which ever device(s) and run speed test and will have fake ip address if setup right
It is mate there is diagrams in booklet you get showingThanks Baz!
Very detailed. Sounds simple enough to follow.
I havnt noticed any disadvantages just saves installing vpn apps on each device I own so makes it easier as a saying goes can't mock a thing till you try it and for £13.99 can't complainStill considering if I should buy one. I have been considering a router for ages now and definitely don't want to be spending £100+ on one. I like it for its simplicity and that I can put my PS4 on my main internet but connect other devices to VPN. But surely there are disadvantages to this setup?

Tbh not everyone can afford to go spend £100 just on vpns or a router so people look for cheaper and easier options all vpns do the same so 1 person spends £100 on a router and 1 spends £13.99 there saving £86.1p not everyone will need a vpn but better to be safe than sorry that's how I look at itI wouldn't have thought there would be too many disadvantages to it - well for the purposes I want to use it for. I really can't knock it at that price. I am just coming more to terms with if I need it. I have spent £100 odd on NORDVPN - it is still difficult to resist.
Yeah mate you pay £13.99 you get the router pre configured with a month's liberty shield subscription then after that month is up its £6.99 per month or 6 months I think or a year for about £49.99 I think amazon has sold out but will put a link up for their website as can get it off there mate https://www.libertyshield.com/home/pricingandplans/1Nice work baz, a lot of info, thanks but its the cost of the router then a plan after that, is that correct?
They have started having a complete block on things mate even using a vpn for some people didn't make a difference like @dt99 was blocked at weekend for iptv with vpn in use and no vpn and wasn't able to watch Netflix bbc iplayer mate so by the looks of it there just blocking everything possibleOK. Thank you. I'm just thinking, if the ISP can block the 3pms and then all is back up and running again after the games, why do they not have a complete block on everything?
http://www.techkings.org/threads/iptv-and-vpn.146900/ here is a link read through itOMG. :). OK. Thanks again.
I was going to get one off amazon but ordered liberty shield if you go on google type spider vpn router in they have a websiteSlightly off topic but has anyone used or using a spider vpn seen them on ebay at a decent price
I havnt been blocked using my router mate it is a way forward tbh soon enough everyone will need a vpnSounds like this is going to be the next option. But would that mean we not get blocked or am I right in thinking there’s no guarantees.
So whilst we were all looking at a blank screen yesterday you were all good then Baz.I havnt been blocked using my router mate it is a way forward tbh soon enough everyone will need a vpn
