A strange affair re 1 channel that stopped working

Hi Guys

Using an openbox v8s and a reputable provider of n line (used same guy 3 years now) and enjoyed the box after always using eagle prior. HOWEVER
I have an issue with 1 scrambled channel that being H2

Not used box 2 days and since instralling everything was fine. all channels unscrambling. the other day I put on H2 (my fav) and got the scrambled sign.
First idea chech TP all ok
2nd check all other channels all on and unscrambling.
OK check deeper. EPG for H2 is fully functional. Signal strength 92% signal quality 70% so all is well
JUST NO H2 just constantly saying scrambled.
Checked my line on other box all is fine with H2 so it is a box issue. My mate has same box and supplier of line his H2 works

I'm baffled and researched forums and cannot find this issue anywhere wioth only one channel that has definitely not moved.

I'm using 12188 27500 horizontal;
SID = 5721
PMT PID = 264
VPID = 523
AUDIO PID = 651

Tried also retuning with latest channel list still the same. Only H2 affected

Anybody any ideas????

May be worth just rescaning that Transponder. if you press menu and find tp list and select it. look down the list 12188 h 27500 select it and rescan it. it may work and correct something in the search list.
 
Done this already does say "Reset PIN" facing H2 but so does History+1 and that works. It is obviously there as EPG for H2 works I just get scrambled sign on main screen. It is the only channel doing this. Thanks anyway for the suggestion
 
Thanks again but unfortunately I have done this too and it is exactly the same. Its just weird only 1 channel is affected.
 
Thanks. On the openbox I cannot find how to see or adjust the FEC. I have changed nothing since this channel was working 3 days ago. How do I check FEC. I can see everything else but this
 
He shouldn't have a problem on that channel with the fec my H2 working on the skybox f5s and that about 3 yrs old. the only thing I noticed on my f5s was the sid 1659 on that channel on mine. I am using ajsat list
 
Thanks. I am using same list however editing SID to 1659 gives me the message "irrelevant channel retune" Putting SID back to 5721 gives me channel back but scrambled
 
Had a similar problem not long ago on openboxes.
One of the channels changed the FEC setting to 5/6 and could not get it on V5s or V8s as there is no way to change the FEC setting in the firmware.
It was however still available on an older F5S for some reason.
It was also available on my zgemma boxes without a problem.
I reported the problem to Reaper who passed it on to China to look into what the problem was.
 
Would he not get any of the other channels if the transponder had changed fec.

Leader.... It wasn't the transponder that changed the Fec setting it was just the one channel in my particular problem ?
When I looked into why I had lost it the only difference was the Fec setting change which other boxes coped with but not the V5/V8's.
Was the same on all those openboxes in use out here.
 
I would accept this if my friend who has exactly the same box, same firmware and same channel list had lost his H2 also. He has not its only gone on my box

If your friend is local then can you try switching boxes and power supplies to see what happens with boxes in a different location ?
Might give a clue as to whether the LNB etc is at fault ?
 
This I have not tried. Will do this today. One thing I did notice is that my signal intensity is at a srteady 90% yet my signal quality fluctuates between 60 and 70%
 
One other thing to try is to connect your box using your friends power supply and test it.
The PSU's can cause problems on openboxes but normally show as a no signal issue.
I have over the years known them to cause other intermittent faults but cannot recall where it was just one channel ?
Just another possibility to eliminate tho.
 
As far as the LNB goes I am using a multi head LNB. Upostairs connected to the same LNB is an old eaglebox where H2 works perfectly using same n line so I doubt if it is the LNB. Have tried different LNB port on head too signals are the same
 
Further testing today begs the question can you lock out a channel? I now why I cannot see H2 I just don't know how to cure it
When selecting History plus 1 that works, same transponder for a few seconds it shows a menu this menu says MGcamd and the ND shows up green and the program is unscrambled. just use up and down buttons to see this

Now

On H2 MGcamd does not appear and the ND is red and the program is scrambled. Theory is that the cat has walked across the controls and done something but what is the mystery.
