Any way to make use of my old Kryptview for non-TV purposes?

It's got an Ethernet interface, and I'm guessing it's a full blown Linux machine inside there, has anyone played with it? Can you get a shell?
I'm thinking of trying to use it as a baby server or something daft :-)

This is just for fun, I know it won't be useful for anything really, just seems a shame seeing my old friend gathering dust!
