The usb will show as media/hdd probably. After you initialise the pen and set swap file you may need to reboot first and then check for media/hdd in EPG, cross epg, recordings etc. Is the pen in back usb port?
 
Very easily, by typing the ip address into web browser. However, no need to worry now as I was reading your post wrong (doh!) There is no storage option in cross epg settings. Storage is in the system options. Just make sure it is initialised. Then make sure all other storage options (EPG, recordings, Timeshift etc) are all set to media/hdd

Basically ur just telling epg to store on ur usb rather than on the internal flash of box as this is no good.
 
CrossEPG doesn't have the left/right option on the cloud ibox for storing. It is EPG seetings that has this option. You are now obviously too advanced for these boxes Sucmnsee and are used to tweaking the Zgemma's now lol
 
Go into Autobouquetmaker to make sure configured to scan each day and setup mode is set to expert.

maybe do a backup of what u have and like.
then flash a backup from someone.
change nothing with tuners or abm.
leave on overnight and hope for the best?
