C cline offline Help!

Hi i have just managed to add c cline to my skybox ( i am new) the tick is green to say its on but it says offline? any ideas

you need to reboot your box after adding line make sure you are online by connecting to the utube app

Also make sure that DHCP is set to ON.

What Skybox model do you have?

On some servers they let you check your account on their site to see
the line is active at their end too.

Have you put in an expired test line ?

Menu - Network Local Setting - Network App

(mine won't play the clips as I haven't bothered updating
my firmware but I still get a list of clips to veiw, so you
know your box is connected to the net)

Or
Menu - Network Local Setting - Network Settings

allows you to check DHCP is set to on
and pressing "active" should test the cable back to the router.

Skybox F5, have found i do have utube but its not working, have also checked DHCP

Sounds like you have got a problem with your internet feed to the box.

Are you using WiFi, Ethernet or homeplugs from your router to the box ?

In network settings have you got a green light over one of the options ?

When you press ok, on the setup option does it tell you it's working ?

Are you running a test line ( they are usually only 24hr ) or have you paid for longer ?

Hi Bees yes I have a green light running through Ethernet cable throgh he plug and it says it is active, I did get a rest line which has now expired and I didn't use it and am using the one paid for

Check the details you have put into the CCcam file.

Is it defiantly your new line details ?

Don't forget to reboot your box after you put your line in

Have formatted stick and pasted cfg file again, re booted, still no joy . It is active through Ethernet yet says offline?

This sounds more and more like an internet problem

Have you got a light flashing at the ethernet cable behind the box ?

It should flash about every 8 secs, even when on standby.

Can you describe what happens when you go onto youtube ?

no flashing light just a solid green light where lead goes in to box, utube, nothing appears just utube screen,

Sounds like a dodgy lead
can you try another ethernet lead ?

just tried new lead and internet seems to be working, light is flashing now but no ones home :willy nilly:i'm lost
Just deleted then added c cline again and all seemed good it said to re boot which i did and still scrambled?

i got openbox x5, getting cline offline status, also activation tick is red. please guide me.
