Cloud ibox 2+ se dead

Folks friend of mine got a used box was working fine with old firmware installed but wanted to update to recent image sooo he thought that to do that you use the update option in the box and now it doesnt boot its dead nothing happens just red light on the box ....Any options on how to retreive this or is it fit for the bin ....
P.S i had a look for options and the only one involves an RJ32 cable but there is no port on this box for this
...

I think the only option when they red light was to J-tag the chip to flash the boot loader. Have a look in the cloud ibox section as there must be something in there as it did happen a lot with then boxes, but not may users left using them now.
