hi am looking at getting a obd II reader for my laptop if anyone would be able to help me with the right software for a ford or multi vehicle thank you

Cheapest option is to get an ELM327 cable and mod it with a 3 way switch to switch between HSCAN and MSCAN. Then download forcan from their website for free...works great on all ford, mazda obd2 equiped vehicles.

What do you want it for? ... If it's to read and clear fault codes and live data info, you can get an ELM327 bluetooth unit for about a fiver off eBay then download a free companion app for you phone - this is what I have / use :)
