I suppose I should have asked "Which mast is your aerial pointing to"?
That is a question I can't answer lol, it was years ago we had the ariel installed so thought settings on TV my give a clue to the transmitter but that doesn't either from what I can find. According to Freeview.co.uk I should be using emley moorI suppose I should have asked "Which mast is your aerial pointing to"?

In autobouquetsmaker choose about latest version is Autobouquetsmaker 31.
In autobouquetsmaker goto configure change show DVB-T frequency finder to yes then green to save.
Go down to DVB-T frequency finder and run it.
The frequencies will be probed. This will take a while.
At the end of this stage of the process, a new ABM provider will be created. Names will vary. In this.
Disable the "official" ABM provider called "Freeview (UK)". It isn't working fully for you, so no point using it.
You can re-enable it after the ABM file has been updated with the details you upload.
Select the newly created provider and then run ABM (perfom an ABM scan).
The new provider file will be called terrestrial_finder.xml and located in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers
To save you having to run the scan again, save the file.
Better still, submit a pull request on Github so that details can be added to ABM.
If not possible or unsure, upload to forum zipped
and someone will do it.
the channels are there it just wont find xml file when i goto update providerNo signal would mean not setup correctly?
What box are you trying to scan on?
that probably just the terrestrial_uk_freeview.xml you need but you still need to know what transmitter you need to set for your area in ABM there is also another plugin called terrestrialscan in downloadable system plugins.wondered if anyone can help me here, how do i get xml file for central scotland/glasgow and where do i put it
thanx
Long time since doing that is it in under tuners
Did you setup your channels correctly and all working?

So you have used the frequency finder option? You won't be able to use update provider option as the file doesn't exist on GitHub. If ABM scan is now working grab the new named file in usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providersdont know what ive done but when
"At the end of this stage of the process, a new ABM provider will be created. Names will vary. In this. mine is in providers , Central scotland terrestrial .
this doesnt show up in my bouquets
but when i scan it picks up channels
when it looks for update provider files it says ,Faild to retrieve file for central Scotland error 404
ALSO
cant find in downloadable plugins
terrestrialscan in downloadable system plugins.
