Just installed external 1tb seagate hdd , it all works ok pause record rewind etc....,problem is every time I change the channel I get error message saying
"creating hardlink to timeshift file failed! The file system on your timeshift-device does not support hard links.make sure it is formatted in EXT or EXT 3"

how do do I format ?.?? Tried plugging in to PCs but it's not recognised it,

anyone help please

Have you initialised the HDD on the h2s? You can't just plug them in and away you go they need initialising first.
 
Hi i am having the same issue with mine, which settings had you got wrong? I initialised it too but still getting timeshift errors
