How hot does your box get?

Mine is quite warm, probably better described as hot.

No external hard drive connected, just the USB flash in back but I do record onto my network instead of the USB.

After my first box dying 2 months in I bought a second (waiting for first to be repaired/replaced) and that is the same.

just warm. certainly not hot. have you removed any plastic film covering the vents?

Yes removed all the plastic.

Its ts on top of my sky box so that might not help but its certainly quite warm, verging on hot

You might try rest the box on top of four coke bottle lids, and that will allow air to circulate around the box

Be careful when taking the plastic off if you brought it from zgemma.co.uk because when I got my h2h it had void sticker over it just make sure you don't take it off that part

I fell for it already. Kept the sticker and the plastic film in case I need to return this second box in the future.
