FURNITURE RETAILER IKEA has issued a recall notice for Irish customers who purchased one of its mirror-door wardrobes.
The company says that anyone who purchased the PAX wardrobe with the AURLAND mirror doors from supplier #12650 should contact its customer relations department on 1890 876 707 immediately.
In a statement, IKEA says that it has received reports of the mirror falling from the wardrobe and breaking into shards.
A replacement mirror door will be offered free of charge.
The wardrobe’s production week date and the supplier’s details are printed on the back lower edge of the mirror door. The affected production weeks are 1039 – 1048 (YYWW) and the relevant supplier number is #12650.
The company recently recalled another item it said was produced by the same supplier: its Elga wardrobe with sliding mirror door.
Separately, IKEA also recently recalled a children’s tent over concerns that the steel wire frame could cause injury.
