hi all is there i link to instructions on here, tried the search but nothing came up.
basically i was trying to sort one problem and created others, i have backed up the system to my external hard drive and i also installed a plugin to help stop channels freezing, since then i cant find the external drive, all recordings are missing as well as the back up file. i disconnected the hard drive and plugged into laptop and it wasnt recognised so reconnected to box. i can find it in the settings but cant do anything with it. doing my nut in now lol.

Your hdd needs to be mounted as /media/hdd

MENU > INFO PANEL > PLUGINS > MOUNT MANAGER

Change mount points with the coloured buttons.

Do NOT unplug the drive whilst the box is switched on.

Windows will not be able to read it because it is formatted with ext4 Linux file system.

thanks for that been trying for hours, got it mounted now but i cant record on to it i think it is saving to internal memory.
