iOS apps for FTP error

Hi

i don't know if anyone may be able to help but in the past I have been able to use iOS apps like FTP manager,FTP CONNECT,etc to connect to my lx2 without any problems. Don't know why I can't now, I get error message saying "connection failed"

ive deleted and reinstalled the apps but still the same. Double checked the IP address details.

i really don't want to get the OLD SLOW laptop out!lol

my box is a lx2 on vix 4 hard wired

my phone is iPhone 6 on iOS 8.3

anyome out there know why and how to resolve this?

This is the one i use and ive never had a problem connecting to my box or anything else where ive needed ftp access before. Even has dropbox integration so i can transfer my line and other files that way too.
