Is this a Radar Detector?

I bought a 2nd hand vehicle last year and after I bought it I found some switches and maybe a mic or mini speaker under the steering wheel by the bonnet release, it can't be seen unless you stick your head under by the pedals, I have also found a small box at the front of the car under the grill.

Could this be some sort of radar detector?

About 4 months ago I was driving on a motorway and a speed cop of a bike pointed his radar gun at me, i was doing about 90mph,:whistling: he followed me with his radar gun and then got on his bike so I know he got me but I never saw him again, could this device had blocked his radar gun :beg:

Any ideas?

its not like any radar detector ive ever seen.thing is radar detectors just dont work anymore,and as far as blocking radar,not happening either.if it was a radar detector and was switched on,you would have heard an audible warning when he pegged you.maybe he was just at the end of his shift and just wanted to go home.lol
