Satellite Just been given a ZGEMMA STAR H1

Hello, I have just been given one of these, I have done a little research on them and plan to replace my openbox v8s with it. How they take my CCCAM? and do they have network channel updates like the openbox does? I also noticed whilst looking on youtube at them they look very similar to the sky layout, is that standard or a patch?

Hi Roadhogmaf,

I will recommend you downloading the zgemma H1 sucmnsee firmware this will have everything pre-installed for you.

Once you have the zgemma H1 sucmnsee firmware. Format your USB to fat32 extract the files to the USB.

Box off.
Usb in rear.
Box on.
Menu
Setup
System
Storage devices
Initialisation
Select ur drive
Red to initialise
Exit all

Menu
Setup
Vix
Swapfile manager
Blue to create 256mb. Wait
Yellow to autostart
Green to start
Red to close.
Hold power button on remote for 3 secs and select Restart (not GUI)

If you find that the screen is to large/small/off to side :
Menu
Setup
System
User interface
Position setup
U can change about here. Including transparency of windows.
If not working change to 720p and 50hz and try again.

(If u are using a large enough usb/HDD u may want to go to
Menu
Setup
System
Timeshift settings
Autostart ts after 30secs or whatever.
As it is u must press pause to start timeshift)

Menu
Setup
Service searching
Autobouquets maker
Providers. Wait
Sky UK (sd):area. Change from northern ireland custom to your area custom by pressing right or left.
Green to save.
Start scan. Wait.
Exit all
Hold power Restart

Menu
setup
System
Epg
Cross EPG
Download now. Takes 5-10 mins. Will seem like its stuck on Loading Data. Wait.
Happens automatically at 6.20 am anyway.
Exit all
Hold power again and restart.

CCcam
To install a line you will need to transfer the file via ftp (not with a usb like an open v8s).
Download a ftp program on your pc, I will recommed filezilla https://filezilla-project.org/
Once installed open the program

Host tab = IP of box
Username tab = root
Password tab = EMPTY
PORT TAB = EMPTY
Quickconnect

Once connected, get your CCcam line and you will have to paste the line to the CCcam file which is located in the ETC folder.
*****IMPORTANT ONCE YOU HAVE PASTED THE LINE MAKE SURE YOU SAVE AND CLOSE****

Go back to your box
Press blue on the remote
Softcam
CCcam
Activate (green button on remote)
start on start up (blue button on remote)

Ok I have managed to get it like this... now I am confused as to how to enter my cccam line

You need to download fillezilla then get the ip of your box will be under network settings
In fillezilla add ip address of box then put root as password
Look for user then keys then newcam edit the line with your own

Just curious, does this one auto update the channel lists, the openbox I have you have to go to upgrade by network etc

My friend would be interested in one of these, however he is a telly addict, do they do a zgemma box that you can put x2 sky cables in the back and watch and record different channels at the same time?
 
Yes the channel list auto updates
You will need a zgeema h2s twin tuner and usb harddrive to watch and record
