Okay heres the problem.
I have a zoostorm laptop, which is failing to boot. It tries to power up, the fans are running but completley black screen and after 5 seconds it shuts down.
I have replaced the cpu, ram, hard drive, fan and the cpu cooling fan and still not working. Ive tried the battery reset (press power on 10 times when battery is out)
Ive also opened it up to the last screw and no wires are disconnected. Completley at a loss, thinking its a motherboard problem but asking for opinions before it gets tossed out.
Cheers

It looks like the motherboard as you have suggested. You can eliminate the hard drive anyway by not attaching it.

The only things you need to boot up (BIOS) is RAM, CPU, and Video card. If it does not boot up to the BIOS and stay there then you have a problem.

You have done everything right and the only other thing that could be the cause is the AC power socket (or lead\battery flat) but I fear the worst for the motherboard.

jodav :)
