A 23-year-old man has been arrested after two police officers were shot at in a London street.
Driver dumped his car in Lily Gardens after failing to stop
The incident happened at around 9.45pm on Saturday after traffic officers tried to stop a driver seen using his mobile phone on the A40 in Perivale, west London.
The man refused to pull over and drove away before abandoning his car in nearby Lily Gardens and running off.
When the two policemen gave chase he fired a shot but neither officer was hit.
The man was arrested in the area shortly afterwards.
He is being questioned at a west London police station.
