A man in his 30s has been killed in a shooting in Finglas in Dublin earlier today.

It is believed the shooting took place in the Grove Industrial Estate near Dubber Cross.

It is understood the victim was shot in the head and body several times. Two masked men then fled the scene.

Gardaí have sealed off the area and checkpoints have been set up.

Gardaí are still trying to establish a motive.

Look at THIS story yesterday? I don't think it even got a mention on any of the main news carriers TV stations.

It is believed that he was Eastern European & the incident was gangland related.

If Raoul Moat wasn't supposed to be running around the woods with a shotgun, SKY would have had this in our face all day yesterday.

It doesn't matter how tragic or catastrophic a news story is in this world today, It's only ever going to last for five minutes anyway. :(

Man shot dead at warehouse yesterday afternoon

Gardaí are carrying out house-to-house inquiries following the fatal shooting of a man in Finglas in Dublin yesterday.

The 34-year-old victim was shot dead at a warehouse at the Grove Industrial Estate near Dubber Cross.

Detectives have also been examining a car abandoned by the attackers, which they believe may yield vital information in their investigation.

Gardaí believe a number of the man's colleagues may have witnessed the killing.

They have urged anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.

The victim had no criminal convictions and a motive for the killing has yet to be established.
