Microsoft has announced that the new version of Office will be called Office 2016 not Office 2015. What's more it will debut this year (maybe around October, the probableWindows 10 release date.
We'll know more on this update of Office over the coming months, but Office 2016 is definitely a product for keyboard and mouse as opposed to the touch version we saw at yesterday's Windows 10 event. That touch-based version will be a standard part of the Windows 10 operating system for smaller devices (under 8-inch, so phones and small tablets).
Office 2016 will retain a similar look-and-feel to Office 2013 including the ribbon.
